Spent Christmas with a lovely family, who runs a hostel in a village called Trevelin, and the few other travellers they adopted over Christmas. Pretty similar to Christmas at home, Papá Noel even tracked me down so a present awaited me in the pile by the Christmas tree. Smart guy this Papá Noel. And I even bought Cadbury Chocolate Eclairs (the best sweets made outside Iceland, only Nóa konfekt is better) and got a new book to read on Christmas eve, just like home. Except people started to drop by at 3 am with felicidades and hugs and kisses, so we didn't go to bed until around 6 am, when all the red wine had been drunk, all the strawberries eaten and all the plates cleaned.

Am now in Puerto Madryn, dipped my toes in the Atlantic ocean today, will go and see penguin and elephant seal colonies tomorrow.
